Cardas RCA Caps
Hi I just installed my new Cardas RCA caps on my amplifier; to my surprise they really did a difference in sound. Background is darker and quieter, not a lot, but enough to remark it after 30 minutes of use. That's nice because I was not expecting a lot from them, They are a nice adds to my Cardas cables!
P.P.
Golden Reference interconnects
I have never done this before, but after burning these Golden Reference ICs in for about 24 hours, I just want to tell you and the guys at Cardas that these cables are the best surprise I have ever put in my system. I was thrilled at the over all change in my music, the fine detail, tone, tighter base, and mid bloom that one normally only hears with tubes. Now that I've put the Golden Reference ICs in I can't believe my ears. I didn't know a cable could make that much difference. I had a very good system before, with the addition of your cables I have a Hi End system now . Thank you very much for the unexpected change.
Sincerely;
C.N.
You made my day!
Hi there George!
Late one night a friend who works at a hifi store in Sweden came
over and listened to my Kenwood stereo from the 80ies. He wasn't
very satisfied with the sound and suggested me to try some Cardas
myrtle wood under the cd-player and the amplifier. He changed the
interconnect cable as well to golden reference. WOW!!! I couldn't
believe my ears.
Then he said it could be even better sound if we changed the speaker
cables. Tonight we tried a couple of Crosslink cables and now I am
going bananas. Hahahaha! It's the best sound I ever heard. Thank you
so much George! You made my day.
Jan Sjögren, your swedish nr 1 fan.
Wow!!!!!
R.) Hello George, All I can say is a very big, "WOW!!!!!" I discovered your web site by just surfing around looking for help in designing and sizing a listening room for regular stereo. I followed your recommendations regarding speaker placement in my existing room. What a difference to the sound. Now I know why I bought the equipment I did.
I feel that I have to listen to my entire collection all over again.
Now that I am furnished with all your fine notes and diagrams, I feel more confident when talking to the architects in Cyprus where I am having building carried out. Than you so very much! With my Best Regards, Mike
Impeccable Service
R.) Hello Colleen,
I want to thank you for the fine attention to my problem and again your service was impeccable. Darla was a great help in expediting my repair. You folks run a great business and it is deeply appreciated. Thanks again to all of you at Cardas. Beat Regards, Paul
I Have Never Had Such an Upgrade
R.) Hello George. My system with Muse Erato CD/DVD player and Model Two Hundred power amplifier with Avalon Eclipse speakers are very happy with your cables. I purchased, some time back, a set of Golden Reference interconnect and speaker cables from your dealer in Norway, and just a few weeks a go, my Golden Reference power cable for the power amp and the Cross power cable (Recommended by Colleen) for the Erato CD/DVD player was in place.
I have to tell you all at Cardas that I have never had such an upgrade before. This is an upgrade that brings pure music in all its glory and brings new life to my system. It is so detailed, and yet so musical, its hard to describe what's going on. Now I am just sitting back in my listening chair and enjoy every CD or music DVD I have. Even the sound from film DVDs is great and dynamic.
Thank you all for making these great cables, they are the best I've ever had and I have had cables 2-3 times more expensive than yours and they were not even close to the Cardas! Best regards, Gunnar. Norway.
A.) Thanks Gunnar, George
Replacement Thank You
R.) Colleen, First, let me start by saying thank you for replacing my headphone cables! The new plugs fit the receptacles on my headphones perfectly. They sound so much better than the stock cables. I'm not usually a firm believer that cables can make such a huge difference, but in this case I am dead wrong.
I also want to complement you on the sound of your shared room with Joseph Audio and Manley at HE 2005 in NYC. Jeff Joseph is a class individual and Eveanna Manley was a colorful host. Jeff's new sales rep, I'm sorry I didn't catch his name, was also very professional and accommodating. Jeff played a track from the Muppets which was fun and then blew us away with several other vocal and orchestral tracks. The room was extremely warm, but the experience and the sound was one of the best at the show.
I am always amazed and pleasantly surprised when dealing with a truly great company like yours. Your handling of this has ensured future purchases of Cardas audio cables by me. And when friends ask me for advice, I will unhesitatingly recommend Cardas. Sincerely, Peter
Job Well Done
R.) To Cardas, I recently sent in a pair of interconnects to be cut in half and terminated. I just want to compliment you on your EXCELLENT service and craftsmanship, not to mention how well the cables perform.
Thank you for everything. A job well done. Best Regards, Roger
A.) Thank you very much, we aim to please. Enjoy. Colleen
Did I mention that I like these cables?
R.) Hi Colleen, Yesterday I received my cables. They look great with the brand new termination. Excellent!
I hooked them up immediately and only after 30 minutes warm-up the improvement over my Quadlink 5c was already jawdropping. Nothing less. Obviously I was expecting a clear improvement but not of this magnitude. Scale, authority, imaging, air, detail and the overall tonal richness, balance and smoothness all improved beyond belief. Small "things" happening in the back of the soundstage seem to have appeared out of nowhere. My system plays clearly louder with the Golden Cross too. The 10 o'clock position of the volume is 9 o'clock now. Amazing. This perceived extra volume probably comes from the improved dynamics, slam and weight of the sound.
But nothing of the above compares to the bass performance of the Golden Cross... I almost wondered if somebody slipped a sub in my room somewhere. The extra weight and push of the bass is incredible. But very detailed, tight and tuneful at the same time. I've discovered melody lines of bass players I've never heard before, on recordings I know very well. Stunning!
Did I mention that I like these cables? Now I really understand why the Golden Cross has been in production so long.
Thank you and the people from Cardas again for all the help and delivering such great products. Best regards, Richard, Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
PS. After I hooked them up the wrong way around, I saw the L & R markers on the shrinks. I take it these are for convenience only and that there's no technical difference between the left and right cable?
A.) We are glad you're pleased with the cables. The left and right are for your convenience and can be used either way. Colleen Cardas
Great Dealer
R.) Cardas Sales Management, You have someone who is knowledgeable and represents your product well... Daniel Harmon at Dedicated Audio.
I had accessed your website for information on Binding Posts and then went to purchase them through your dealer listings. Living in Minnesota, I thought it best to find a regional source and attempted to order from Music Direct. They were quick to respond, but unfortunately they did not have the items in stock. The same was true with Linear Interconnects. So, I called Cardas Customer Service to find a stocking dealer and they referred me to Dedicated Audio.
Dan, verified that he had the posts in stock as well as some Spades. He took the time to explain the Spade connection and recommended your Quadeutectic Solder as well. When I told him that I still had some solder left over from another project, he offered 2m free as a trial comparison. Okay, this is a small order of only $200; but where would I go if I need some Caps for the next project, or if I considered changing power cords, interconnects or speaker cables? Yes, I would call Dan and recommend others to do the same. Best Regards, Joel
A.) I remember talking to you on the phone and referring you to Dan. We agree that Dan is an exceptional Dealer (of other products than Cardas too!). I am glad he could take care of your needs. Thanks for the feedback, Colleen Cardas
Cardas 300-B and Quadlink 5C PC
R.) I recently bought two Cardas products. First I bought the 300-B interconnect. Tried it out in my system and it completely blew my away! I couldn’t believe the change in my system. I have tried many interconnects in the last year and this one by far takes the cake. I can only imagine what you more expensive interconnect sound like. After the interconnects I figured I would try a power cord. I needed a new power cord for my Jolida which was supplied with a rather tiny power cord. I only wanted a power cord that was larger not for sound. I originally purchased a PS Audio Xstream Plus power cord. The PS Audio is a great product however, due to its weight it kept coming unplugged from my amp. So I tried your Quadlink power cord. Not only does it stay connected to my equipment, but my Jolida sounds more fluid than it did with the PS Audio. PS Audio had a lot of bass and dead quite but it can not match the musicality of your power cord. The euphonic sound that my system has is amazing! I plan on in the near future to buy the Micro Twin speaker cable. I already purchased JC jumpers for the bi-wire from TR Audio here in Michigan. Todd is also wonderful to work with. Thank you so much! - Jake

I am extremely happy to say that my client in Coimbatore is very happy with the installation, especially when I proved to him that cables make a difference. He could not believe the difference he heard between an ordinary interconnect and the Cardas.
I procured the cables from your Dubai Distributor Mr. Arul Das. All the equipment, except the Linn speakers, were bought in person by my client when he went to Dubai.
He is so happy that he has given me his brother's home theatre project to do. I would like to thank you for bringing out such fantastic cables. - Warm Regards, Prithviraj.
PS. I will continue to recommend your products in all my installs.
A.) Yes, Prithviraj, thank you very much! That looks like a very nice system. I am happy to be a part of it. Thanks for the report, it is good to have such positive feedback. Warmest regards, George
Nothing Comes Close to Cardas
R.) Dear Mr. Cardas, The purpose of this e-mail is to thank you for manufacturing such a superlative product. About a year ago, I changed all my cabling to Cardas and I've never looked back. I'm using Golden Reference IC's between my MF Nu-Vista CD and BAT VK-3i pre-amp, and between the pre-amp and MF A300cr power amp. Quadlink-Five C IC's are used for the MD-102 Tuner, and 300B IC are used for the Nakamichi tape deck. Neutral Reference speaker cable is run through B&W Nautilus 804s.
The overall timbre of the sound is rich without being syrupy or unnatural. There is a certain gravitas to the sound which I've not heard in any other cables. Indeed, the cables distinguish between good and bad recordings, rather than imputing a chronic sense of "air" and a resulting artifice to EVERY disc. Your product simply tells it like it is.
I've tried a wide variety of other cables and nothing comes close to Cardas. So, thanks for making my listening experiences so enjoyable. Regards, Randy
A.) Thank you very much Randy It is good to have feed back. The Reference Cables have been a life long pursuit. I am so glad that they are appreciated for what they are. I can see that they have a good home in your system. Warmest Regards, George
Golden Reference vs. Golden Cross
R.) I have concluded my audition of Golden Reference vs. Golden Cross. Everything you said on your website is absolutely the truth. Possibly, I was swayed by your suggestions, but my ears tell me you are right. So, I am going with double runs of Golden Reference. There is a euphonic, beguiling warmth and romanticism to the Golden Cross that is hard to give up. The mid to upper bass seems fatter with Golden Cross, but less controlled and distinct. Momentarily, I considered putting Golden Cross as the bass wire and Golden Reference as the mid-high wire, but I realized the bass was less extended and controlled with the Golden Cross. Also, as you say on your website, it is important to have all the frequencies arriving at the speaker at the same time.
I must complement you on your company's overall approach. As I have read through the information on your website and elsewhere, I am impressed that your designs are based on solid science that delivers the best possible listening experience. There are too few people in the high-end audio game, especially the cable guys, a few of whom I have met, who are as willing to reveal the details and specifications of their design as are you. - Carl
Customer Support
R.) Colleen, I received my repaired cables today and I would like to send along this note of thanks and appreciation for your concern and prompt response to my problem. It has been a pleasure dealing with you. Your support and backup is certainly on a par with the excellent product that you sell.
I have enjoyed my Cardas cables for many years now and I am sure that they will be a source of enjoyment for many years to come. I have in the past, and will in the future, continue to recommend Cardas. Thanks again to all your people for the fine support. - Gary H.
Headphone Cables
R.) I feel compelled to write and say how delighted I am with the performance of my Cardas replacement cable you make for the Sennheiser HD600 headphones which was purchased last week. It's leaps and bounds better than the Clou red it replaced, and I now have a high performance cable that's doing justice to the rest of my electronics. Superbly natural sounding, with enormous detail retrieval, and the high frequency performance is particularly satisfying. Needless to say I'm now enjoying my music immensely. - Darren C.
High Speed Data
R.) I recently bought the High Speed Data cable for a coax connection between my Onkyo A/V reciever and my Onkyop DVD player. It sounds wonderful. Much better than the old Monster TOSLink that I was using. I don't know how many customers say "Good Job!" - Happy Customer, Jacob G.
Musicality
R.) Having now spent a month with the
Golden Cross speaker cable, I can provide a bit of feedback as to its
impact on the sound of my system.
The Golden Cross replaced some 15 to 20 year old QED 79-strand - pretty
basic stuff. The Golden Cross has been arguably the most interesting upgrade to my system
over the years. Although there was improvement in most of the usual list of
audiophile tick-box items - slightly cleaner and more extended frequency
extremities; a bit more detail; a slight improvement in imaging - this
understates the true impact of it on my enjoyment of the music.
I hate to use that most dreaded of hi-fi enthusiast terms, but improved
"musicality" seems to fit. It isn't any sole attribute that is easily
identifiable, just a greater sense of overall "rightness" to the music. If
I had to try to identify a key contributor to this sense, I would suggest
the upper midrange is more accurate. My system is fairly lean in sound, so
any recordings with excess energy in this area tend to come up pretty
badly. Perhaps the QED cable exaggerated this, with the Cardas providing a
more neutral response.
Interestingly, it seems to have added enjoyment to the sound of vinyl more
so than CD/SACD. I also notice that many (typically old) CDs appear to have
lost a little of their liveliness. I put this down to the fact that better
recordings are now able to shine through more (so the old CDs don't sound
worse, they just don't sound as good as the new ones, relatively speaking).
Thanks again for the cables. I may be looking toward getting another Golden
Cross interconnect some time in the near future. - Regards, Peter
Precision Video
R.) These have been worth the wait. The Precision Video is excellent and beats up on just about every other cable I've tried. (I now have the PV with F-connectors, and a version with RCAs.) I'd be keeping them even if I didn't want to (but I do!), since the RCA connectors are so tight on the composite video cable that I'll pull the jack-pack out of the back of my TV before the cable will come free. The Neutral Reference S-Video works as advertised; it passes at least as much detail as my Nordost Optix s-video cable with seemingly better color balance, and isn't even broken in yet.
Hopefully next month I'll be able to get the PV with F-connectors at 20 feet to replace the last remaining cable, the MIT Silver RG6 RF coax. Thanks for all the help. - Ron P.
Interconnects
R.) Mr. Cardas, I would like to let you know how awesome I think your Crosslink interconnect sounds. It reveals detail without being bright or rolling off the highs. I have tried so many interconnects and it came down to yours, a Canare GS-6 (coax instrument cable), and Belden 89259 (coax), but yours seemed to the most natural and emotionally involving. The Belden seemed rolled off on the top end and the Canare gave an unnatural hall effect. I can't imagine these coax designs are really optimal for an audio signal. I'm sure you could explain why they sound the way they do. I truly believe you found magic by paying attention to nature. - Craig S.
A.) Thanks Craig. Music, the way we grow, the proportions of nature and the core of your interconnect are all in harmony, so to speak. - George
Interconnect Hocus-Pocus
R.) Upon the suggestion of your distributor in Tacoma, Washington, I purchased two pairs of RCA-type Cardas Crosslink interconnect cables; one between the CD player and the preamp; the other between the pre-amp and the main. I run a McIntosh C-28 into a Bedini Classic 100/100 amplifier. The CD player is a Nakamichi. At the receiving end are a pair of Vandersteen 2Ces and a 2W subwoof.
I always thought this hocus-pocus about interconnect cabling was a bunch of BS. I clung to my garden-variety Radio Shack cabling for years, through Carvers, Macs, Dahlquists and the like. I have to tell you that your cables have made a greater improvement in the sound of my system than any single other thing I have done to it. The price, at $80 per, is far less than you should be charging. My better half, who usually goes postal when I spend more than the monthly beer budget on the stereo, not only didn't leave me for trying out your cables, but said she'd have to stay now. "Just airs it right out," were her precise words, and that's funny, because that was precisely my impression, too. And as we all know, one does not usually get two identical impressions from a listening experience. I'm rediscovering all my CDs and vinyl as though they were new. Way cool. Short version is, thank you. And if you ever need an unsolicited endorsement, I'm your man. - David B.
Thank you so much
R.) Dear George, I read some of the tweaks and suggestions on your website, and I cannot BELIEVE the improvement I just got INSTANTLY in my room by setting up the speakers in a 5-to-8 ratio in the two back corners (it's a nearly square room).
I'm not a total beginner -- I at least know enough that my speaker placement was already symmetrical -- but this is terrific. I know square rooms are far from ideal, but my system now sounds big, warm, spacious and inviting.
I'm on a budget this days and out to maximize the performance of the gear I have, but I'll certainly be considering Cardas products in the future. Thanks so much. Michael
A.) Thanks Michael, Golden Ratio works! George
Power Cables
R.) Just wanted to drop you a note to say that I recently switched out the power cable on a preamp in my CD mastering studio with one of your Quadlink power cables and I just about fell out of my chair when I heard the difference. Beforehand, I had been really skeptical about the potential differences, but I bought the power cable just to see if it might do anything noticeable. I was so stunned at the difference that I kept testing it for hours just to make sure I wasn't fooling my brain into hearing a difference. The difference was very clear - the former cable sounds thin and harsh compared to the fullness and smoothness of your cable. Now I'm going to swap out about six other cables in my system. What a good product! - Geoff G.
Thank You
R.) George, I'm a big band trumpeter and love high end audio. I've purchased your Cross cables on the better of two systems I have, and the 300-B interconnects on the other. My god your cables are just beautiful sounding! I've had Transparent Cable in the past along with Tributaries, but none have brought me closer to music and it's emotion than yours.
So why am I contacting you? To say thank you... your cables even made a believer out of my wife who is not an audio freak like I am. Your cable will allow us hours of wonderful listening pleasure to classical and jazz. My wife is also a music teacher, and we love buying cable from a guy who supported his own town's music programs! - Brian N.
Grateful UK Music Fan
R.) From a grateful music fan in the UK, I just wanted to contact you to say thank you. This morning I took receipt of my Golden Cross phono interconnect, and wow. I had to leave for work after a couple of hours, but boy I could have stayed at home all day. I could try to describe how this cable sounds in my system, but I simply can't put it into words. I was crying several times this am, during for example, Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah and some jazz by Coltrane. This cable is wonderful, and I know I've got many emotional sessions ahead of me. The only thing is that I now need to save my pennies to buy more of the same cables for the rest of my system! Thanks again George and well done to all of your team. - Best wishes, Alan
Mother was Right
R.) Dear Mr. Cardas, I've never written a fan letter before, but here goes. I have just recabled my entire system as follows: Golden Reference ICs between Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista CD, Musical Fidelity A3cr pre-amp and Musical Fidelity A300cr power amp, Neutral Reference Speaker Cables to B&W N804s, Quadlink 5C ICs to Magnum Dynalab MD-102 and 300B ICs to Nakamichi DR-8 Tape Deck. All I can say is... WOW! Your cables are the equivalent of a MAJOR system upgrade. The sound is simply amazing... and the cables have only a few hours on them. I had gone through a prolonged period of trying many types of cheaper cables in an effort to find the "fountain of sound." I was typically disappointed... most sounded either too harsh (silver and silver over copper) or either too laid back or too forward. It became entirely frustrating. What I hadn't realized was that the answer was right in front of me... Cardas was the way to go. If I had purchased your products initially, I would have saved myself a lot of disappointment. As my Mother says: "If you buy the best, you'll never be sorry." Well, she was right. I am no longer concerned about the quest for the holy cables... I've found them. Now, I can just sit back and enjoy the music. In the final analysis, that's what this hobby is all about, isn't it?
So, THANKS for radically transforming my listening experience into one of life's great pleasures. Regards, Randy L. B.
1.6180339887498948482... Rules!
R.) George, I have been a very satisfied Cardas customer for around ten years now. I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say how much I appreciate and admire your products and your company. Music is very important to me; I have been working on various (personal) audio and A/V systems for over twenty years. Some time around ten years ago, Frank Huang, from Audio Advisor in New York, set me up with some balanced Golden Cross interconnects and speaker cables. It was all over -- I have never used anything but Cardas since.
By the way, Frank is the best dealer I have ever worked with, bar none! In the past few years, I have sampled much of your product line and have been consistently gratified with the sound, at all price points! Thanks for making such a consistently great product and keeping the music fun! 1.6180339887498948482 rules! - Regards, Warren G. H.
P.S. Was Cardas Lightning 15 ever blue?
A.) Hi Warren, Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it! Yes, the original Lighting 15 was blue. - George
Last Cardas Purchase
R.) Unfortunately, I have made my last Cardas Audio purchase for some time. My problem: Unless I get new gear that requires longer cable runs, I am quite happy with the Golden Reference interconnects and Neutral Reference speaker cables! There may be different wires and whatnot on the market, but to my ears there is no better.
Thanks to you and your staff over the years for providing an excellent product and world-class customer service. I have said this before, but it stands repeating. In the world of high-end audio, Cardas also offers the consumer intelligent and classy advertisements designed to appeal and excite the senses. My wife, the advertising expert, has nothing but praise for the corporate logo and your compelling brochures. And, she loves the sound and the stunning results from the Golden Reference.
Also, our latest 1-meter interconnect came with a styrofoam packing ball bearing the nautilus logo. Another classy touch - it now stands on the audio rack. If your company sold t-shirts, sweatshirts or other logo-wear, I would proudly make that purchase. Now, maybe I should rethink those Neutral Reference speaker lines; perhaps a try-out of the Golden Reference may be in order... Thanks again for helping the music come alive in our home. John
Fast Cable Repair
R.) Colleen, this is an open letter of gratitude to Cardas for the excellent customer service shown to me. I purchased a Cardas Lightning Digital SPDIF cable several years ago and somehow the cable pulled loose from one of the RCA's terminations. I emailed Cardas and received an immediate reply from Colleen Cardas who instructed me to send the cable to them for repair. The cable was repaired gratis with a turn around of two weeks including shipping time. Thanks Cardas. - Grateful Customer
A Family Place
R.) Dear George and Colleen, I recently called with a problem I was having with a pair of 300b interconnects. The gentleman who helped me on the phone -- Brian Von Bork -- was extremely helpful. I sent in my interconnects and within in a short time frame my cables were fixed (it actually looks like I was sent a new pair) for free.
This experience was amazing for me. So much so, I'm now going to only buy Cardas in the future. For example, I just purchased a pair of Neutral Reference interconnects. Not only is your product amazing -- I feel like I'm buying the best there is -- but your customer focus and follow-up is awesome. Thanks for standing out! It must be a great thing for your employees to be associated with your products! -Darrin P.
A.) The place always did seem like a family, I hope it always does. - George
Customer Service
R.) Brian, I have just received my re-conditioned Golden Cross interconnects! I am astounded by Cardas' level of service to its customers! It has way exceeded my expectations! You guys did a fantastic job with the cables, their as good as new and you've even thrown in the contact conditioner and a stylish Cardas black ball!
I am speechless! You guys are a shining example of what customer service levels in Singapore should be like. My gratitude and congratulations to a company that not only provides true value but also reliabilty and excellent customer service! - Chris L.
A "Wow" Experience
R.) George, I wanted to say thank you for your replacement cable to my Sennheiser HD 600 headphones. What a "wow" experience. I have always loved these cans, but the difference your cable made was palpable. I reattached my old cable (which cuts in and out after several years of use, not all of it gentle) just to confirm the magnitude of the improvement.
One complaint, however: I stayed up way past my bedtime last night listening to music in my living room (without disturbing a soul). Thanks again, Chris
A.) Thanks Chris, glad you like them.Cheers, George
Golden Reference IC
R.) I received my Golden Reference IC. I love the new style of termination... AWESOME. The gold lettering clearly stands out. Although the cable is non-directional, I always go with the letterflow. Let me say, I can hear more detail in the Golden Reference than my Neutral Reference. I ordered another pair for my out board DAC to the preamp. Great job... no wonder your cables are well deserved. Thanks, Pete
Wow!!!
R.) Dear Brian, I am a great believer in quality, and value in Hi-Fi. My system, which is mainly rega, has lasted for ages. I still have the original Rega Planer 3 which I bought 21 year ago, though it has had a new arm and motor.
Recently I obtained some Bose quiet comfort headphones as a birthday gift from my wife. Family life is starting to preclude loud music at night. I bought the Rega Ear to go with my Mira, and Planet. But the Bose were woeful on it and bought my self some Senns Hd- 650s. I was blown away by the detail and punch they were getting. I must admit they have really resuscitated my interest in Hi-Fi.
Following some internet threads about your headphone cable for the HD 650's. I thought, "In for penny, in for a pound" and sent off for one from a US supplier. It arrived yesterday and I am astounded by how good my system now sounds. The headphones are getting so much detail, are so accurate, and clear. The base is punchy, not flabby, the mid range is tight, and the treble is sweet, and clear, ( even on badly recorded cd's!!) through the headphones. I cannot congratulate you enough. The cable did every thing I expected and much more.
I think what I am hearing must come close to the highest of high end Hi-Fi, and at massively good value. The 15ft length means I can move around the room. Please thank Mr. Cardas on my behalf.
David Gilmour of Pink Floyd once said that he was disappointed he had never been able to hear "Dark Side of the Moon" for the first time as a finished piece. He should have been at my house. Despite the fact that I have owned it for 30 years I feel the first time I really heard it for the "first time" was last night. All the very best regards, Ian
Eutectic Solder
R.) Hi Colleen, I just replaced WBT's 4% Silver solder with Cardas Eutectic solder, and the Cardas solder sounded more natural and was easier to solder. Thanks Colleen. Best regards, Ben K.K.
Spades
Q.) Hi Colleen, I was wondering if you have changed the shape of your spades in the last few years? The spades on my Golden Cross bi-wires look slightly different from ones my dealer now sells Thanks, Jon
A.) Jon, Did you purchase them both new from one of our dealers? There were some counterfeit cables found on internet sites with slightly different spades on them. We started using a square bar stock, instead of round bar stock, about 4 years ago. Colleen
Q.) Can you send me a picture of what the spades look like? My cables were purchased used from a reputable person and I was told they were a couple years old. Jon
A.) This is new style and old style (Pictures of spades sent to Jon). Colleen Cardas
R.) Colleen, Thanks a ton! Exceptional response. It looks like I have the older connectors, so my cables are probably a little older than I was led to believe. I can only say great things about your service!!!! Jon
A.) No problem Jon, glad to be of assistance. Colleen |
