When George Cardas developed the Clear interconnect cable, he realized there were no XLR connectors on the market that matched the performance potential of the cable. So he designed the Cardas CG XLR. Machined from high purity brass, with contact surfaces plated with silver and rhodium. The chassis mount version soon followed. - Clarifier Frequency Sweeps | Cardas Audio
Frequency sweeps from the Cardas Clarifier App Frequency Sweeps Clarifying Frequency Sweeps The frequency sweeps from the Cardas Clarifier App are now available here on our website. Running a frequency sweep from time to time can degauss your system, from the electronics to the loudspeaker drivers, restoring clarity. Play these frequency sweeps at a reasonable volume. The extremely low and high sections will be inaudible. You may not hear anything for the first several seconds, so don't boost the volume, as when it does become audible, you may damage your system if it's turned up too high. You may want to forward to the 15 second mark on the long sweep, and the 5 second mark on the short sweep, to set your volume. Then start over from the beginning. Long Frequency Sweep Cardas Audio 00:00 / 01:11 Short Frequency Sweep Cardas Audio 00:00 / 00:20 Frequency Sweep LP We also offer an LP with frequency sweeps and other tracks for setting up and maintaining your phono system.
- Bob Graham | Cardas Audio
The artwork of Bob Graham, Cardas Audio's original graphic artist. Bob created the Cardas Nautilus logo, as well as all of our marketing materials from 1987-2012. Bob Graham was Cardas Audio's first graphic designer and marketing director. He created our legendary Nautilus logo, and all of our magazine advertisements from the late 1980's through 2012. Bob and George Cardas worked together long before the founding of the company, with Bob designing the logo and advertisements for Cardas Racing Fuel. Bob and his wife Linda were amongst the members of the Cardas team who made the move from Southern California to Bandon, Oregon in 1992. Bob passed away June 28th, 2023, in Bandon. Prior to founding Cardas Audio, George Cardas was a race car driver and race team leader, and had his own blend of fuel. Bob Graham created this humorous illustration depicting George being placed into a fuel tank. All Cardas conductors employ Golden Ratio scaled stranding. In fact, the Golden Ratio is employed in a number of our products, even our Myrtlewood blocks. Bob created our Nautilus logo (original on the left, redesigned version on the right), which is not only instantly recognizable in our industry, but perfectly embodies this design principal. Most of the artwork adorning the walls of the Cardas shop and office comes from Bob Graham. George Cardas admiring a framed print of one of Bob's Cardas Audio advertisements.

Cardas Grade 1 Ultra Pure Copper is used in nearly all of our cables, and also by other cable & equipment manufacturers. In fact, there are laboratories in the US & Europe using our copper for its superior electrical and thermal conductive properties. Cardas Grade 2 Copper is a more affordable variant, but still of extremely high quality, and produced using similar methods. Grade 2 can be found in our own 101 Speaker and Crosslink cables. Grade 2 is also used throughout the audio industry. Cardas Silver is used in Clear Beyond Headphone Cable , and is very popular with other high-end cable and electronics manufacturers. Cardas Copper & Silver is sold by weight, rather than by the foot or meter. Large minimums & long lead times apply. Copper & Silver strand is not available through our dealers. If you're not sure if you should be considering Cardas Chassis Wire or bare copper or silver strand, the answer is Cardas Chassis Wire . If you're interesting in buying dozens or perhaps hundreds of pounds of copper or silver strand, contact Darla in our front office. Comparing Copper We electrically etched away the outer layer of several copper strands manufactured using differing methods, to demonstrate that the perfect grain structure of Cardas Grade 1 extends below the surface. How to buy: Cardas copper & silver strand is typically sold by the pound, and long lead times may apply. We have a limited variety of gauges in house, If we have the AWG you want in stock, you may purchase as little or as much as you wish.
