101 Speaker (Bulk)

101 Speaker Cable can be purchased in bulk, and prepared for use by your Cardas dealer, or you can even do it yourself. Many Cardas dealers have a spool of 101 at their shop, and if not, you can order as much or as little as you need.

There is no more economical way of putting Cardas in your system than 101 Speaker!

Preparing 101 is simple:

1. Cut back a couple inches of the grey outer jacket, and you'll find two 14 AWG conductors, surrounded by white cotton dielectric.

2. Cut away the dielectric, and strip about an inch of the red & black jackets from the conductor.

3. Untwist the copper wires, and you'll find a non-conductive core filament. Snip that away, and re-twist the conductor.

4. At this point, you can use it as a bare-wire cable, and insert the twisted copper into your binding posts. Or solder spades or bananas onto the ends. You can also use crimping spades with 101 Speaker.
